About the body In 2007 a.y.p.s. Blóðtrú was spawned from the ashes of Mørkheim, after which the debut album The Death Of The Spirit was released about a year later. Initially Blóðtrú recorded old school black metal heavily influenced by the Norwegian 2nd wave of black metal of the early 1990's, which was quite evident on the debut album. However it has now transformed into something more boundary pushing, drawing also from such genres as doom, ambient, neo folk and industrial, which is clearly audible on the later releases, and will also be evident in the future. Blóðtrú should not be considered a genre band locked on one specific style, but rather a project circling around a certain set of spiritual ideas.
About the spirit First of all Blóðtrú is neither a political nor a religious project in any modern sense, meaning that it is not connected to any present movement or organization whatsoever, but stands in clear opposition to the Modern World, and thus hails all who support this struggle. To fully grasp what it means to be "modernally unpolitical", it is important to understand the structure of modern politics. In the present political climate you are usually stigmatized with dogmatic notions of left or right. In the eyes of the MoneyChrist the worst kinds of these are of course the radicals - the so-called extremists - because their ideas pose a threat to the present reign. You might have naïve notions of free speech and so forth, but fact is that our modern system of "democratic" liberal-capitalistic universalism is just as oppressing towards its critics as has been the case with even the most violent dictatures of history. The only difference is that it is not achieved through obvious violence, but through much more subtle and hidden means. Open your mind and ask yourself whether you are really free to say and think what you want? Blóðtrú is neither right- nor left-wing and refuses to defend itself as such. If anything Blóðtrú supports a total breakdown of the liberal-capitalist globalist empire, the universalist rule and the nation state, which means a return to a tribal society structure and an organic democracy ala the ones that are best known from ancient Greece, but definetely existed in the ancient North as well. This will only function in radically smaller communities rooted in a common sense of mutual dependence and trust. Blóðtrú supports pan-tribalism, which means that all tribes should be able to maintain their integration without the interruption of others. Mutual respect and honour is the basis of a peaceful co-existence, which accounts for European as well as non-European tribes. What is falling must be pushed, and so we should welcome the coming collapse of our present system, so that we may build a new healthy society from the ashes of this decadent Roman Empire. The future is ours.
